As a city dweller, my first garden was far from traditional, especially since it was 9 stories above the ground.
Armed with several tomato plants, three large plastic buckets, some soil and some insecticide (we city folk fear bugs), my love of gardening began. The first tomato plants that blossomed didn't do very well in the
tomato producing department since I plucked the blossoms off (I wanted tomatoes not flowers), but after that initial set back, and many deliciously juicy red tomatoes, I was forever hooked on gardening.
