Are you a Football fan? Do you like sports? Or, do you simply like throwing parties? Well, whichever category you fall into, if you want
to make new friends, or spend some quality time with old ones, throw a Super Bowl Party!
The Super Bowl is an annual event that every football fan looks forward to each year. It’s the ultimate football game between that year’s
two best teams. Whether your favorite team has earned the privilege to play at the Super Bowl or not, it’s a game that a true football fan
would never miss.
Planning
Planning a Super Bowl party is not that difficult. All you need to do is make a guest list, plan what you’re going to serve to eat and drink,
and if you’re really ambitious, get some decorations and party favors.
How Many to Invite
If you have a Sony WEGA 50 inch
Flat Panel Television, then you can cram as many people into your living room (or wherever that beautiful piece
of technology is kept) as you like. But if you are like most of us, you will be working with a smaller television, so you will be working with
a smaller guest list. The best way to decide how many people you can reasonably invite is to set up as many chairs as you can in front of your
television, make sure every seat has an unobstructed view of the TV screen, and invite that number.
Who to Invite
Is your mechanic a really cool guy you would like to get to know better? Then invite him to your party, and ask him to bring a friend? Are the
guys at work “good people”? Then invite them as well, and ask them to bring a friend. By asking the people you know to bring someone you don’t know
to your party, you get to meet a lot of new people. After all, you never know who you’ll hit it off with.
Eats and Drink
Of course, the perfect Super Bowl party is not a catered affair with little finger sandwiches. A super bowl menu is easy. Chips and other snacks, Pizza
or foot long sandwiches (maybe both) and a never-ending supply of quality beer is all it takes. If you want to be a little fancy, add some pigs in a
blanket, hot wings or maybe some chili (it doesn’t have to be homemade, it just has to taste good). As you can see, a Super Bowl party menu is as easy
as getting a penalty for being off sides.
Decorations
If your favorite team is playing, then by all means get team t-shirts, hats or whatever
you like for everyone attending. I also like having crying towels on hand for anyone who dares to root for the other team. If you are really want to go all out,
you can get banners, napkins, plates and the like that have team or Super Bowl logos on them from your local party store.
The most important thing about throwing a Super Bowl party is having fun. So eat, drink responsibly, and have a good time. Perhaps you’ll make a new friend or two.
